MoosBox Legal Music Protocol

Your secure guide to a direct, traceable licence, fully compliant with EU Directive 2014/26/EU and the ASCAP Compendium.

MoosBox provides a dedicated music service for public performance in commercial spaces, in full compliance with European and international regulations on copyright and neighbouring rights.
Our legal coverage is based on direct licences, non-exclusive agreements with independent composers, publishers and producers, and, where applicable, the use of advanced artificial intelligence technologies to generate original, traceable content.

Key Points

  • Direct and non-exclusive licence:
All tracks streamed are authorised through direct agreements with rights holders, in accordance with EU Directive 2014/26/EU and Section 1.3 of the ASCAP Compendium.
  • Traceability:
Original tracks produced by MoosBox with AI are registered with a timestamp system to guarantee identification and verifiability.
  • Coverage:
Using the MoosBox service includes all necessary public performance rights and neighbouring rights, with no need for additional licences from collective management organisations, thus avoiding double payments.
  • Verification:
In case of inspections or claims, the licence and certificates are always available and can be downloaded from the Manager Profile. It is advisable to keep a printed or digital copy easily accessible at the venue.
  • Recognition tools:
Recognition apps like Shazam may identify certain tracks since we work with artists and producers also distributed on public platforms. However, these tools do not constitute legal proof of lack of coverage.
